I Eat, Therefore I Am is a multifaceted tribute to the artist’s father, William Fung, who recovered from a series of strokes and subsequent brain operations in 1998, which left him with limited short-term memory and a newfound obsession with food. The video installation addresses the emotional effects of physical illness and change.
